I had a bottle of 15 year scotch that I drank half of in a night. That was all I had left, so I switched to something else.

I’ve had this bottle a few times, very good. Just recently finished a bottle of Glenfiddich Proje ct XX, it was good but I won’t buy that one again.

Haven't tried that one. But seeing as that it's an Islay Scotch, I am willing to wager that it tastes of peat, with peaty overtones accented with a subtle touch of peat?

First two rounds are the above Rye. It was the first “nice” bottle I ever got myself back in 2010. It tastes just as I remember it - success. After that, I’m switching to Evan WIlliams because by some act of god, charcoal aged bourbons give me no hangover and I tend to wake up feeling better than if I didn’t have a nightcap...Wh ich worries me on SEVERAL levels.

Evan Williams is amazing for the price.

I honestly like it better than whiskey s costing double or more the price.

If you can find it Ezra Brooks is even better at around the same price IMO.

I don’t mess with most scotch cause I’m poors, but in the US we really get some high quality American bourbons for great prices.

Evan williams is proof that people can be label snobs. I’ve had more than one person swear that I poured them jack daniels and comment on how smooth it is. I stand by m y choice 100%. Ezra brooks is good too, but at my store, it tends to be 2-3$ more and the taste is a touch too sweet yet with a bit more bite” but kinda not? I’m applying snob terms to 15$ bourbon, I’m aware. Just summed up as “it isn’t as good to my tongue and it’s 2$ more”
